1. Put identification on oil lines. Disconnect oil lines (1) from the elevator reverse valve.2. Remove one bolt (2) from both sides of the valve. 3. Fasten tooling (A) and a hoist to the elevator reverse valve. Remove bolts (3) and loosen bolts (4) on both sides of the valve. Remove the valve. Weight is 90 lb. (41 kg).Install Elevator Reverse Valve
1. Fasten a hoist and put elevator reverse valve (1) in position on the gooseneck. Install the bolts that hold it in place and tighten bolts (2) on both sides of the valve.2. Remove tooling (A) and install the bolts in the valve. 3. Connect oil lines (3) to the valve.Disassemble Elevator Reverse Valve
start by:a) remove elevator reverse valve 1. Remove pilot valve (1) from the elevator reverse valve. 2. Remove plug (2) and the spring from the valve body.3. Remove cover (3), valve spool, seals, washer and retainer from the valve body.4. Remove plug (4), spring and valve from the valve body. 5. Put identification on covers (7).
Covers (7) hold springs under compression.
6. Remove two bolts (5) and install two 3/8"-16 NC x 2 1/4 in. bolts (6) to hold the cover in place.7. Remove the remainder of bolts (5). 8. Carefully remove bolts (6), the cover, springs and valves from the reverse valve body.9. Do Steps 6 through 8 for the cover on the other end of the valve. Assemble Elevator Reverse Valve
1. Install valves (3), (4), (8) and (9) in the valve body as shown. Valves (8) and (9) have a small hole (11).2. Install springs (1), (2), (5), (6), (7) and (10) in the valves as shown. Springs (7) and (10) are the weakest springs.3. Be sure O-ring seals (13) are in place on covers (12) and (14). Be sure O-ring seals (15) are in place on cover (12). 4. Install covers (12) and (14) on the valve body as shown. Use the longer bolts to hold the springs in compression until the correct cover bolts are installed. 5. Be sure the O-ring seals are in place on plugs (16) and (25). Be sure bushing (28) is in place in cover (29).6. Install seals (21) and (22) on valve spool (20) as shown.7. Install the seal (not shown) and retainer (19) in pilot valve body (18). Install retainer (19) with the chamfer in.8. Install seal (26) with the lip in and washer (27) with the flat side in.9. Install valve spool (20) and cover (29) on pilot valve body (18).10. Install spring (17) and plug (16) in pilot valve body (18).11. Install valve (23), spring (24) and plug (25) in the pilot valve body as shown. 12. Be sure O-ring seals (30) are in place on the pilot valve body.13. Put the pilot valve in position on the elevator reverse valve and install the bolts that hold it in place. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 27 2 lb.ft.
