Removal Procedure

Loosen the four bolts and the four nuts (1) on each end of the adjustable bar.
Loosen the jam nut (2) at each end of the adjustable bar.
Release the tension on the conveyor by loosening the adjustment screw (3) on each end of the adjustable bar.
Remove the middle bearings. Refer to Service Manual, "Bearings (Middle) - Remove and Install".

Remove the three master links (5) from the conveyor.
Remove the bar (4) .Installation Procedure

Place the bar (4) in position.
Pull the two ends of the conveyor together and add the three master links (5) .Note: Make sure that all three chains are aligned properly with the sprockets on the drive bar.
Install the middle bearings. Refer to Service Manual, "Bearings (Middle) - Remove and Install".

Adjust the conveyor to the correct tension by using the adjustment screws (3) on each end of the bar. Refer to Service Manual, "Conveyor Chain - Inspect/Adjust".Note: A properly adjusted conveyor should have 20 to 30 mm (0.8 to 1.2 inch) of total free sag at the middle of the top slack span.
Tighten jam nuts (2) at each end of adjustable bar.
Tighten the four bolts and the four nuts (1) at each end of the adjustable bar.
