1 194-4883 BRACKET AS.
2 9Y-5631 SPACERPlease refer to the illustration on page 6for the layout of the new FEAD.Note: If the OEM fuel line to the fuel transferpump interferes with the FEAD installation; remove the bolts holding thefuel transfer pump and index the transfer pump flange counter clockwiseto the next set of holes, reinstall bolts. After re-installing the alternator, the bracket(142-9826) for the mounting of the P-clip to support the power wire willneed to be re-oriented and modified to provide clearance for the new FEADbracket and rear debris shield on the alternator. See photo below.
Install the new belt (501178D1) and the newRH finger guard (501045D1). The LH finger guard (227-8227) will be re-used,but must be modified to provide clearance around the alternator. See picturebelow.
The outer three wires of the finger guard shouldbe bent in the area of the alternator to provide approximately ½"(13 mm) clearance with the alternator. Please take care to protect thepaint when re-shaping the wires on the finger guard.Be sure all shields and guards are installed.Operate machine for a few minutes and visually inspect the pulleys andbelts for proper operation. Recheck the coolant level and add extendedlife coolant as required.
