Install drive (10) in the bearing housing.

Install gerotor (11) onto the wear plate. Retain the rollers in the outer ring if the rollers are loose.

Install valve drive (12) into the gerotor.

Apply a light film of 1U-6396 O-Ring Assembly Compound on seal (14). Install seal (14) on valve plate (13) .

Install valve plate (13) .

Install valve (15) .
Use the following procedure to install the valve (15) on the valve plate (13) .
Locate any one of the side openings on the valve (15) that goes to the face of the valve.
Line up this opening with the open slot of valve plate (13) that is in line with the largest opening of the gerotor (11) .
Rotate the valve (15) clockwise in order to engage the spline teeth of valve drive (12). Rotate only a half of a splined tooth.

Install one spring in each of the two holes (16) in the valve housing (17). Install one pin in each of the two holes (16) .

Apply a light film of 1U-6396 O-Ring Assembly Compound on seal (18). Install the seal on valve housing (17) .

Apply a light film of 1U-6396 O-Ring Assembly Compound on inner face seal (20) and outer face seal (19). Install the two seals on balance ring (21). The proper orientation is shown in Illustration 17.

Align the two pins of balance ring (21) with the two holes for the spring in valve housing (17). Install balance ring (21) in valve housing (17) .

Insert your finger through the port. Apply pressure to the side of balance ring (21). Hold balance ring (21) in position until valve housing (17) is in place. Align the case drain in valve housing (17) with the case drain in the valve plate. Install valve housing (17) against the valve plate.Note: After you install the valve housing, check the motor for any unseated seals that are between the sections.

Clamp the bearing housing in a vise. Install bolts (22). If alignment bars were used, install the bolts to the opposite of the alignment bars. Finger tighten bolts (22). Remove the alignment bars and replace the alignment bars with the two remaining bolts.

Tighten the bolts in the sequence that is shown in Illustration 21 to a torque of 50 N m (450 lb in).End By: Install the gerotor motor onto the landscape rake. Refer to Service Manual, "Gerotor Motor - Install".
