Illustration 5 - Front View Of Control Panel (A) Engine interconnect harness.(B) DC harness (To terminals TS1-1 to TS1-30 and TS2-27 to TS2-30).(C) AC harness (To terminals TS2-50 to TS2-L3). Avoid routing AC and DC wiring together. Use 7K-1181 Straps as necessary to help support wiring. Avoid terminating more than two wires on each screw terminal. While facing the control panel vandal door observe the three control panel wiring harnesses. See Illustration 5. The left harness is referred to as the "engine interconnect harness", the middle harness is referred to as the "DC harness" and the right hand harness is referred to as the "AC harness". Wires ends that have either a spade (fork) or a ring terminal crimped on will be labeled with an adhesive marker. Wires that terminate in a connector will have a wire number ink stamped on it at the connector end.Engine Interconnect Harness
The engine interconnect harness will be used to interconnect the engine sensors to the control panel. In addition, the magnetic pickup wires (MPU1 and MPU2) along with electronic governor actuator wires are to be routed into the control panel through this conduit.DC Harness
To connect the DC harness to the terminal strips, use the following procedure.1. Route the wires labeled 1 through 26 to terminal strip one (TS1) and terminate them on the appropriate screw terminal. Be sure to leave one side (top or bottom) of the terminal strip open for interconnection with the engine harness.2. Route the wires labeled 27 through 30 to terminal strip 2 (TS2).3. Route the green and yellow wire labeled "GND" to the grounding screw located near TS2.AC Harness

In order to prevent accidental starting when making connections to the generator output leads, make sure that the batteries are disconnected from the engine. In addition, make sure that the generator output leads are isolated from any other power sources.
To connect the AC harness to the generator components, use the following procedure.1. Attach the wire labeled T1 to the generator output lead T1 or bus bar using one Bolt, one 6V-8801 Nut and two 5P-1075 Washers.2. Repeat the same procedure for attaching wires T0, T2 and T3 to the corresponding generator output leads T0, T2 and T3. The generator set control (GSC+) of the control panel is rated for voltages up to 600 VAC. If the control panel is to be utilized with voltages greater than 600 VAC, appropriately rated potential transformers must be provided and the GSC+ must be re-programmed. For information concerning wiring and programming of the GSC+, refer to the service manual SENR5832, Electronic Modular Control Panel II+ (EMCP II+) For MUI Engines.3. Route wires 50, 51, 52, 53, L1 and L3 to terminal strip 2 (TS2) and attach them on the appropriate terminal. The wires labeled 80 and 82 are from the voltage adjust rheostat (VAR) on the control panel. The rating of this rheostat is 10k ohm, 2 watts.
