2. Remove bolt (1) and lock. Remove the piston cooling tube.Install Piston Cooling Tubes
1. Put the cooling tube in position on the cylinder block and install lock and bolt.2. Tighten the bolt to a torque of 35 5 lb.ft. (4.8 0.7 mkg) and bend the lock. 3. With the piston at the bottom of the bore, check the clearance between the piston and cooling tube with a piece of wire (1) .025 in. (0.63 mm) thick. If the clearance is less than .025 in. (0.63 mm) replace the cooling tube. The cooling tubes must fit evenly against the cylinder block. If they do not fit evenly it will cause an oil loss in the engine oil system.
