The following Product Link improvements and enhancements for the PLVIMS are included in the new software.
Updated J1939 ECM information message by populating Name field.
Introduces support for the Cat Fuel Consumption Monitoring retrofit kit.
Updated Battery Back-up fault (817-12) that could be potentially be triggered on a blank ECM, during the flash process.If needed, adjust the internal Product Link clock to agree with Service Meter Hours (SMH) of the machine as indicated on the hour meter after flashing the new software.VIMS Improvements and Enhancements for the PLVIMS and 523 Module
The following VIMS improvements and enhancements for PLVIMS and 523 Module are included in the new software.
Updated Telemetry reports to start outgoing message sequence at number "1", instead of "0", as defined in the Telemetry protocol.
Improved VIMS webpage error message reported, when viewing through Google Chrome.
Updated Data Logger channels to report fault status (appropriate DSIs), instead of displaying "0" or some constant value.
Updated error message description, when config file is either missing or is incompatible with the flash file
Updated VIMS config upload process by supporting header information, indicating whether the config is meant for either the Main or Application module
Improved Ethernet connectivity for VIMS automatic file push through Communicator.
Updates made to improve CANip communications between Main and App modules. This should reduce or eliminate: - Logging of 246-9 codes - Loss of payload report file processing through Communicator and or loss of payload messages
Updated Telemetry message to report SMH in the correct format.Refer to Table 2 for the correct ECM that is installed on the machine to gather the correct software files.
