Information:

Illustration 1 g01028218Plate (2) is mounted above the radiator. The plate is on a hinge. This allows access to the radiator. Perform the following steps in order to clean the radiator.
Remove engine air precleaner (3).
Remove bolts (1). There is a total of eight bolts that need to be removed.
Lift plate (2).
Install engine air precleaner (3) before cleaning the radiator. This will help prevent any contamination from entering the engine air cleaner.
Inspect the radiator core for debris. If necessary, clean the radiator. Note: Compressed air is preferred, but high pressure water or steam can be used to remove dust and general debris from a radiator. Clean the radiator according to the condition of the radiator.
Remove engine air precleaner (3).
Lower plate (2) and install bolts (1).
Install engine air precleaner (3). See Special Publication, SEBD0518, "Know Your Cooling System" for more detailed information about cleaning radiator fins.
