Start By:a. remove drum support housingb. remove drum gear reducer1. Drain the oil from the eccentric weight housing into a suitable container. The capacity of the eccentric weight housing is 11.83 liters (3.12 U.S. gal). 2. Position the drum with the locating mark on the drum down and the notch (X) on the eccentric weight housing (1) is at the top. 3. Remove two 8T4187 bolts (2) 180° from each other and install guide bolts in each side.4. Remove 16 remaining 8T4187 bolts (2).5. Remove two 8T4779 bolts (3) and use Tooling (A) to separate the eccentric weight housing from the drum. 6. Attach Tool (B) to the eccentric weight housing as shown, locking Tool (B) to the eccentric weight housing using handles on each side of Tool (B).7. Remove the eccentric weight housing from the drum assembly. The weight of the eccentric weight housing is 330 kg (726 lb).8. Remove shaft (4) from drum.9. Repeat steps 1 thru 7 for vibratory bearing reservoir (5), located on the opposite side of the drum. For installation of the eccentric weight housing, reverse the removal steps. During installation of the eccentric weight housing, apply 6V-4876 Molykote Paste Lubricant to the splines of shaft (4), add 50 ml (1.7 fl oz) of lubricant to shaft cavity, and engage shafts with "T" symbols aligned vertically. During installation of the eccentric weight housing, apply 4C-9507 Retaining Compound on 18 bolts (2). After installing the eccentric weight housing, perform the flushing procedure described in Special Instruction Form No. SEHS9880-01. After the eccentric weight housing has been installed, fill it with oil to the correct level. Start By:a. remove eccentric weight housing1. Make sure the outside of the eccentric weight housing is clean and free of dirt and debris.2. Put alignment marks on the housing and cover to aid in reassembly steps. 3. Install the eccentric weight housing on a suitable stand or move to a clean flat area for disassembly. The weight of the eccentric weight housing is 330 kg (726 lb).4. Remove two drain plugs (1) from the cover (2). 5. Remove six bolts (3) and six washers (4).6. Separate cover (2) from housing (5). 7. Remove O-ring seal (6) from housing (5). Check the O-ring seal for wear or damage and replace if necessary. 8. Remove lip-type seals (7) and (8) from the cover. 9. Remove eight bolts (9) and flange (10). 10. Remove O-ring seal (11) from flange (10). Check the O-ring seal for wear or damage and replace if necessary. 11. Use Tool (A) to remove eccentric weight (12) from housing (5). The weight of the eccentric weight is 60 kg (132 lb). 12. Remove eight bolts (14) and shaft (13) from eccentric weight (12). 13.
