Use Tooling (F) for the four stage cylinder.

Use Tooling (F) for the three-stage cylinder.
Position Tooling (F) over cap (4). Tighten the set screws from Tooling (F). Use the scale on the bench to center Tooling (F) in the clamp that is on the bench. Tighten Tooling (F) in place on the bench.
Set the Caterpillar bench for a torque of 2000 N m (1475 lb ft).

Loosen Tooling (A) in order to allow the ejector cylinder to move during the rotation of the cap.
Use the bench to carefully tighten cap (4). Note: The Caterpillar bench will stall at the proper torque.

Use Tooling (F) for the four stage cylinder.

Use Tooling (F) for the three-stage cylinder.
Loosen the set screws from Tooling (F). Retract the bench and remove Tooling (F).

Mount the guides that are part of the bench and bushing (C) onto the bench.

Use a suitable lifting device in order to rotate the ejector cylinder in support (A). Rotate the ejector cylinder by approximately 180 degrees.

Check the ejector cylinder with level (B). Adjust the support that is part of the bench until the cylinder is level.
Tighten support (A) and the support that is part of the bench in place.

Mount the guides and the bushing onto clevis (1). Refer to Step 79 for identification of the guides and bushing. Use the scale on the bench to center the guides. Tighten all the bolts that fix the tooling in position and tighten all the bolts that fix the tooling to the clevis.

Install the bushing from Tooling (D) onto fourth stage tube (2).

Install Tooling (D) over the bushing that was installed in Step 84. Tighten the bolts on Tooling (D). Allow clamp (D) to rotate and lock on the side of the bench.
Set the Caterpillar bench for a torque of 2000 N m (1475 lb ft).

Loosen support (A) in order to allow the ejector cylinder to move during tightening of the clevis (1).

Use the bench to tighten clevis (1). Note: The Caterpillar bench will stall at the proper torque.
Remove Tooling (D).
Use a suitable lifting device in order to raise the ejector cylinder off the bench. Place the ejector cylinder on suitable cribbing. The weight of the ejector cylinder is 520 kg (1150 lb). Remove the lifting device from the ejector cylinder. Remove Tooling (C) and Tooling (A) from the bench. End By:
Install the ejector cylinder on the machine. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly Manual, "Ejector Cylinder - Install".
