Some 1P1608 Gears in dealers parts stock that were shipped prior to January of 1992 may not have been heat treated properly.
Action Required
Remove all 1P1608 Gears from parts stock inventory that were shipped prior to January 1992. There is no date code on either the gear or the packing box to identify the date of manufacture. Shipping invoices must be used to determine which gears are to be removed from parts stock.
Service Claim Allowances
Submit one claim for all 1P1608 Gears removed from parts stock.
