See the following article that has the part number for the resistor.Description of Change: An improved fuel shutoff solenoid on 3054 and 3056 Engines that are equipped with Lucas fuel injection pumps is available. The new fuel shutoff solenoid is available in 12 Volt and 24 Volt versions. The new solenoids have improved internal sealing, waterproof electrical connectors, and lower current requirements.Adaptable To: The new 176-6219 Solenoid Valve Gp (12 Volt) and the 147-2645 Solenoid Valve Gp (24 Volt) are adaptable to 3054 (S/N: 5HK1-UP; 9RM1-UP; 7BJ1-UP) engines and 3056 (S/N: 8XJ1-UP) engines that are equipped with Lucas fuel injection pumps.For machines with 12 Volt electrical systems, replace the 7W-6249 Shutoff Solenoid with a 176-6219 Solenoid Valve Gp (12 Volt) and a 193-0161 Connector Kit. Replace the existing resistor with 147-2642 Resistor. A larger ballast resistor is needed to keep the solenoid from overheating.For machines with 24 Volt electrical systems, use a 193-0161 Connector Kit and replace the 7W-6249 Shutoff Solenoid with a 147-2645 Solenoid Valve Gp (24 Volt) or a 176-6219 Solenoid Valve Gp (12 Volt). Modify the machine wiring for the 147-2645 Solenoid Valve Gp (24 Volt) by bypassing the resistor and directing the 24 Volt current directly to the solenoid. Modify the machine wiring for the 176-6219 Solenoid Valve Gp (12 Volt) by replacing the existing resistor with 147-2642 Resistor. A larger ballast resistor is needed to keep the solenoid from overheating.
