The 449-1517 Resistor (A) in the heater and air conditioner group may fail on the machines listed above. This failure may induce blower motor to operate at high speed only.Solution
Until a permanent solution is identified, replace the 449-1517 Resistor with upgraded part 491-0681 Resistor .Resistor access is via the cab recirculation air filter area.Rework Procedure

For better clearance to remove the resistor, slide seat (B) to maximum rear position.
Move armrest (C) to forward and up.
Remove two bolts (D) from each side. Save the part. Slide seat to the right. Refer to Illustration 2.
Remove recirculation air filter.

Remove two Phillips screws (E) and disconnect two terminals (F). Save the part. Refer to Illustration 3.
Remove 449-1517 Resistor (A). Discard the part.

Install new 491-0681 Resistor (1) .
Secure two Phillips screws (E) and connect two terminals (F) that were saved in Step 4. Refer to Illustration 5.

Install four bolts (D) to hold seat in place that were saved in Step 3. Refer to Illustration 7.
Place slide seat (B) and armrest (C) to its original position.The new 491-0681 Resistor is not currently available in the Morton Parts System. The Small Track-type Tractor Product Support Group has a limited number of new resistors ready for immediate distribution.
