1. Put the wheel in position so the drain plug (2) in the final drive cover (1) is down. Drain the final drive. The approximate capacity of the final drive is 5 U.S. Gal. (20 litre).2. Remove the nuts that hold the final drive cover. Remove the final drive cover (1). 3. Install a 1/2"-13 NC forged eyebolt in the axle (3). Use a piece of rod to pry the axle out of the final drive as shown.4. Fasten a hoist to the axle and remove the axle from the final drive. Weight of the axle is 125 lb. (57 kg).Install Axle
1. Fasten a hoist to the axle assembly (1). Put it in position in the final drive housing.2. Make sure the axle is against its seat in the final drive housing. 3. Inspect the O-ring seal (2). Install the cover for the final drive. Install the bolts that hold it to the final drive housing.
