B 183-4797 Track Roller Lifting Fork 1 Note: There is a track guide on each side of the machine. The procedure that follows is for the removal of the track roller with the track guide.
Park the machine on a hard, level surface.
Personal injury or death can result from grease and oil coming out of the relief valve.Grease and oil are under high pressure coming out of the relief valve and can penetrate the body.Do not watch the relief valve to see if grease is escaping. Watch the track or track adjustment cylinder to see if the track is being loosened. Make sure the vent holes are clean before the tension is released on the track.
Release the track tension. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Track Adjustment - Adjust" for the correct procedure.

Lift the side of the machine and Install Tooling (A), as shown.Note: Adjust the height of Tooling (A) to have sufficient clearance for the removal of the track rollers.

Loosen bolts (1).Note: Do not remove bolts (1) at this time.
Remove bolts (2).
Attach a suitable lifting device to the track guide guard assembly. The weight of the track guide guard assembly is approximately 91 kg (200 lb).
Remove bolts (1) and the track guide guard assembly.
Repeat Step 4 through Step 7, as required.

Loosen bolts (4) that secure track roller (3) to the undercarriage.Note: Do not remove bolts (4) at this time.
Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (B).
Position Tooling (B) under track roller (3).
Remove bolts (4) and track roller (3). The weight of track roller (3) is approximately 79 kg (175 lb).Installation Procedure
Install track roller (3) in the reverse order of removal.
