ADAPTER 1P5585 - Caterpillar

Removal Procedure
Turn the disconnect switch to the off position.
Loosen the serpentine belt. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, " Belt - Inspect/Adjust/Replace".

Remove the nut and disconnect harness assembly (3). Remove the nuts and disconnect harness assemblies (4). Remove the nut and disconnect harness assembly (6). Remove bolts (1) and (5). Remove alternator (2) .Installation Procedure

Install alternator (2). Install bolts (5) and (1). Connect harness assembly (6) and install the nut. Connect harness assemblies (4) and install the nuts. Tighten the nuts to a torque of 1.5 N m (13 lb in). Connect harness assembly (3) and install the nut. Tighten the nut to a torque of 3.3 N m (29 lb in).
Tighten the serpentine belt. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, " Belt - Inspect/Adjust/Replace".
