New cap assemblies are available to seal the suction port in the hydraulic tank on the above excavators. When installed, the cap assembly eliminates the need to drain the hydraulic tank before servicing the system. The serviceman removes the suction screen and installs the cap assembly on the port. Caterpillar recommends closing the filler cap after installing the cap assembly in order to prevent possible contamination of the hydraulic oil.Features and Benefits
Individual cap assemblies are available separately.
Single handle fits all of the cap assemblies. Order the handle separately.
O-ring seals are serviced separately for easy economical repairs.
