Cut and remove cable strap (36) at the bottom left side of the flywheel housing. Move hose (34) aside.

Remove four bolts (37), four washers (38), two half clamps (39), O-ring seal (40), adapter plate (41), and O-ring seal (42) in order to disconnect hose (43) from the outlet port of the piston pump. Remove bolt (45) and nut (46) in order to remove clamp (44). Move hose (43) aside.
Loosen retaining nut (47) and disconnect hose (48). Cut and remove cable strap (49). Move hose (48) aside.

Disconnect electrical connectors (50), (51), (52), (53), and (54) from the harness to the transmission solenoids.

Locate temperature sender (55) on the underside of the transmission. Loosen nut (56) and disconnect wire (57).

Remove four bolts (58), eight washers (59), and four nuts (60) in order to remove hinge plate (61).

Loosen retaining nut (62) in order to remove hose (63) from the case drain port of the piston pump. Remove four bolts (65), four washers (66), two half clamps (67), and O-ring seal (68) In order to remove hose (64) from the inlet side of the piston pump. Move hose (64) aside.

Loosen clamp (69) and remove air inlet hose (70) from the underside of the machine.

Remove bolt (71) in order to remove ground cable (72) from the starter motor.

Disconnect electrical connectors (73), (74), (75), and (76).

Remove bolt (77), washer (78), washer (79), and nut (80) from the front engine mount.
Repeat step 20 for the opposite side.

Remove bolt (81), washer (82), washer (83), and nut (84) from the rear engine mount.
Repeat step 22 for the opposite side.

Install tool (A) to the left side rear engine mounting bracket. Attach one end of a double chain lifting sling to tool (A) and attach the other end of the double chain lifting sling to the front engine lifting bracket. Adjust the double chain lifting sling so that the crane is in a central position. Attach tool (B) between the hook of the crane and the engine lifting bracket on the rear of the engine. Adjust tool (B).
Slowly lift the engine, the torque converter and the transmission up 50 mm (2 inch) out of the machine. The weight of the engine and the transmission is 660 kg (1455 lb).

Remove bolt (85) and washer (86) in order to remove wire (87) from the front left side engine mount.
Carefully remove the engine, the torque converter and the transmission from the machine. Be sure not to catch on any wires or loose hoses.

Use tooling (C) and (D) in order to support the engine and the transmission.
