Fire Suppression Control (Automatic)
Illustration 1 g03323739
The fire suppression control is located in the operator station.Audio Sounder (1) - The audio sounder gives the audio indication for all alarm and fault outputs. The audio sounder will pulse at the same rate as the corresponding indicator.Key Switch (2) - Used to isolate the release circuit when maintenance is performed on the fire suppression system.Fault (Amber) (3) - This indicator and the audio sounder will pulse once every 10 seconds when indicating a system fault. The fault indicator returns to a normal condition when the fault is cleared.Power (Green) (4) - This indicator pulses once every 2 seconds to indicate normal battery power. The indicator will be off to indicate a loss of power or a low-power condition.Alarm (Red) (5) - This indicator and the audio sounder will pulse 2 times per second for 10 seconds at the start of an alarm condition. This indicator and the audio sounder will pulse four times per second for 10 seconds from the start of shutdown until discharge. An alarm condition is caused by the detection of a fire or by the operation of a manual actuator. The indicator and the audio sounder will pulse until the source of the alarm is removed and the fire suppression control is reset.Discharge (Red) (6) - This indicator and the audio sounder will pulse 4 times per second during the discharge event.Shutdown (Red) (7) - This indicator and the audio sounder will pulse 4 times per second for 5 seconds during the shutdown period.Isolated (Amber) (8) - This indicator and the audio sounder will pulse for 2 seconds at 60 second intervals when the release circuit is isolated.Delay Button (9) - The "DELAY" button is used to perform three different functions:
Delay the shutdown relay operation
Activate the LED diagnostic code in a fault condition
Reset the control panelFollowing the activation of the fire suppression system, the audio sounder, the alarm indicator, the discharge indicator and the shutdown indicator will pulse once every 10 seconds.Fire Suppression Control (Manual)
Manual actuation of the fire suppression system will result in immediate system discharge which may obscure vision and affect the operator's ability to control the machine. This may result in personal injury or death. Make certain the machine is stopped safely before manually actuating the system. Manual actuation will bypass all auxiliary shutdown and alarm functions.

There are two manual actuators on the machine.Manual actuator (10) is located in the operator station of the machine. Manual actuator (13) is located on the right side rear fender.Activate the fire suppression system by pulling the ring pin on manual actuator (10) or (13) and striking red button (11) or (12) .In Case of Fire
In case of fire, evacuate the area to reduce the risk of injury from flames, heat, hazardous vapors, explosions, or any other hazards that may be created.
The following procedure should be read and performed in accordance with the current mine site practices. In case of fire perform the following procedure:
