PROBLEM
The existing 302-9321 Clutch As. can fail on certain 583T, 587R, and 587T Pipelayers due to a sequencing problem with the hydraulic system. If the existing 302-9321 Clutch As. fails, it can lead to failure of the winch brake and machine downtime. Load line drift is an indication of the 302-2391 Clutch As. failure.

PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
1. Park the machine on a level surface. Put the parking brake on and place the boom down. Release system pressure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "System Pressure ? Release".
2. Remove Plate As. (1)
3. Remove existing fittings (2) and (3) from logic block (4). [Labeled BBR and HBR respectively]. Recover oil into a suitable container
4. Install new 311-2460 Valve Groups (2) and (3) to logic block (4). Reconnect existing hoses.
5. Install Plate As. (1)
6. Refill hydraulic oil.
