In order to time the component, turn the engine start switch to the OFF position. Wait for three seconds. Turn the engine start switch to the ON position. The components of the air conditioning system will go through self-diagnostics. This process will time the components to the control module.Note: If you change a setting on the control panel, you must wait for 60 seconds before you disconnect power. If you do not wait for 60 seconds, the control module will not retain the setting in memory. The new settings will not be acknowledged when power is again supplied to the control panel. This is very important when you check control modules.Parameters

Press the temperature control knob (5) and the fan speed knob (1) simultaneously while you turn on the engine start switch. This will start the diagnostic mode. The automatic temperature control unit (ATC) will continue to function normally during the diagnostic mode. Parameters can be viewed on the control panel and parameters can be revised on the control panel. Sensor readings can also be viewed on the control panel.

Parameters are selected by holding down both the automatic temperature control switch (2) and the fan speed knob (1) . For example, the parameter value "P01" will be briefly displayed. The current value of the setpoint will follow. Refer to table 2 for the list of parameters and a brief explanation of each parameter.
Push On/Off switch (1) once in order to return to the normal mode of operation.

"P01"     DIRECT SUNLIGHT     A number between 10 and 20 will be displayed for no sunlight. A number between 200 and 250 will be displayed for full sunlight.    
"P02"     VALVE POSITION     A number from 0 to 15 indicates the position of the water valve. 0 is closed. 15 is fully open.    
"P03"     AIR TEMPERATURE IN THE CAB     The control panel displays temperatures in Degrees Celsius or in Degrees Fahrenheit.    
"P05"     EXTERNAL TEMPERATURE (ambient air)     The external ambient air temperature is displayed.    
"P07"     COOLANT TEMPERATURE (water)     This is used to limit the fan speed when the cab is cold and the engine coolant is cool.    
"P08"     TEMPERATURE AT EVAPORATOR COIL     This is used for freeze protection. The compressor is turned off when the temperature of the evaporator falls below the critical temperature (30° F).    
"P09"     TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCE     The air temperature in the cab minus the setpoint is displayed.
