PROBLEM
The camshaft needs to be replaced with a 2347900/">234-7900 Camshaft on certain 834H Wheel Dozers and 988H Wheel Loaders. The existing camshaft is not the correct part number in these five engines.

ACTION REQUIRED
Replace the camshaft with a 2347900/">234-7900 Camshaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly Manual RENR8261 "Alternative Removal Procedure" Steps 1 through 8 to remove the camshaft from the back of the engine. This will avoid removing the radiator and air conditioning coils during the repair. For 988H Wheel Loaders, loosen and rotate the pump on the back of the engine to allow clearance to remove the camshaft. It is not necessary to completely remove the pump from the engine.
