Cat Datalink Boost Function Enable Status
The PL1000T contains special circuitry that can provide a boost function for the Cat Datalink. When this boost function is enabled, the Cat Datalink wiring harness length limitations are extended to 305 m (1000 ft).
Enabled - Cat Datalink harness length limitation is 305 m (1000 ft).
Disabled - Cat Datalink harness length limitation is 31 m (100 ft).Note: Enabling the boost function when Cat Datalink is less than 31 m (100 ft) can cause communication failures. Only enable the boost function when harness lengths greater than 31 m (100 ft) are required. When multiple PL1000Ts are connected to the same Cat Datalink, "CDL Boost" should be enabled on only one of the devices. Enabling "CDL Boost" on multiple PL1000Ts connected to the same Cat Datalink network will prevent normal communications.Cat Datalink over J1939 Tunnel Function Enable Status
The Tunnel Function Enable Status is a specialized feature for integration of 3500B Series II Caterpillar engines. Tunnel Function Enable Status is used for multiple engine connection to a single display device on Cat Datalink. Disabled (Default)When this feature is enabled, the PL1000T will bridge communications between CAN port 1 and CAN port 2.Note: The operation of the J"1939 Bridge" and "CAN Extension Bridge" features of the PL1000T is mutually exclusive. If the "J1939 Bridge" functionality is enabled, the "CAN Extension Bridge" functionality will be automatically "Disabled". Therefore, if the "J1939 Bridge" functionality is "Disabled", the "CAN Extension Bridge" functionality will be automatically "Enabled".
