3. Loosen hose clamps (5) and slide hose (4) off water elbow.4. Remove four bolts (2) that hold water elbow (3) to pump and remove elbow by pulling it up.5. Remove four bolts (1) that hold the water pipe to the water pump.6. Remove six bolts and one nut that hold the water pump (6) to the timing cover.7. Remove water pump (6).Install Water Pump
1. Put the water pump (1) in position and install six bolts and one nut that hold the pump to the timing cover.2. Install four bolts (2) that hold the water pipe to the water pump.3. Put water elbow (4) in position and install four bolts (3) that hold it to the water pump.4. Push the hose (5) into position and tighten clamps (6).5. Install door assemblies on left side.6. Fill the cooling system to correct level.end by: a) close dashDisassemble Water Pump
start by: a) remove water pump1. Remove bolts that hold the pump body to the housing. Make a separation between pump body (1) and housing (2).2. Remove cotter pin and loosen nut (3) until it is even with the shaft.3. Remove drive gear with tooling (A).4. Remove bolts (4), lock and retainer (5).6. Remove cotter pin and loosen nut (6) until it is even with the end of the shaft.7. Remove impeller (7) with tooling (B). Remove seal and ring from impeller.8. Remove shaft (10) from pump body.9. Remove bearings (8) and spacer (9) from shaft.10. Remove carbon seal (11) and lip-type seal from pump body.Assemble Water Pump
1. Install lip-type seal in pump body using tool group (A). Install seal with lip toward bearings. Put SAE 30 oil on lip of seal.2. Install carbon seal (1) in pump body.3. Install bearings (2) and spacer (3) on shaft (4).4. Install shaft in pump body.5. Install ring (5) and seal (6) in impeller.6. Put impeller (7) in position on shaft and install nut (8). Tighten nut (8) to a torque of 30 5 lb.ft. (4.1 0.7 mkg).7. Tighten nut (8) more if needed to install cotter pin. Install cotter pin and make a bend in both legs around the nut.8. Put retainer (10) in position and install lock and bolts (9).9. Heat the drive gear in oil to a temperature of 275°F (135°C).10. Install drive gear (11) on shaft with tapered side toward bearings.11. Install nut (12). Tighten nut (12) to a torque of 90 5 lb.ft. (12.4 0.7 mkg). Tighten nut (12) more if needed to install cotter pin. Install cotter pin and make a bend in both legs around the nut.12. Put housing in position on pump body and install the bolts that fasten them together.end by: a) install water pump
