Before uploading the firmware on the boards, check out:
the last UPS Tuner version
the last package
Use the Diagnostic / Report to download the events log
Download the personalization of the GDET and/or DIGITNote: If a non-compatible package is uploaded, the unit will not be started or coupled.Note: In case of power shutdown on PC, the UPS Tuner will restart where the downloading was stopped.Note: In case of power shutdown on the UPS, the UPS reconnects with UPS Tuner and continues downloading. If an error occurs, the upload may be required again.Note: All packages must be stored under the folder firmware, \CAT\UPS TUNER\UPSB 505\firmwareInstallation of Firmware
Launch the UPSB505 UPS Tuner software on the technician PC and connect to the UPS.

Select the "Firmware Upgrade" option under the "Maintenance" Menu.

Download window will Open.

Verify the conditions of the UPS match the instructions in the "Downloading Conditions" window.

Verify the boards to be uploaded are selected in the "Boards to Download" section.

Choose between the standards versions and the specific design by selecting either the "Standard Tab or Affaires" tab. Note: The customized products have their own number (see the label on the UPS)Note: Compatible versions - The versions are classified from the most recent to the oldest one.Note: Partially Compatible versions - Are used with parallels version to bypass the complete installation.Note: Incompatible package versions - These versions should not be uploaded to this unit.

Verify the selected software in the "Selected Pack" section.
Begin the upload by selecting the "Next" button at the bottom right of the window.
A notice window will open stating:"Transferring data may corrupt the integrity of the data on the DIGIT and/or GDET cards.""Do you wish to save the settings and data before download so that they can be restored?"
If you select "Yes", the Boards Downloading operation will begin
If you select "No", the upload function will begin
During the uploading the display is black and the 3 LEDs above the display blink alternately.
After the upload is complete, a notice window will open stating:"Have you saved the settings so that they can be restored now. "
Select "Yes" to being to personalize the boards.Issue / Problem During Upgrade
When you have an issue during the upgrade (connection loss, mains failure), 103/104 alarm displayed on the display.To resend an upgrade on a unit:
Ignore the display and UPS Tuner, and follow the process below:
Relaunch the upgrade ONLY on GDET
Then relaunch the upgrade on DIGITError / Issue After the Restart of the Unit
After the personalization of the unit and a POWER OFF and ON of the unit, if alarms and/or faults are detected either the function data recovery was not followed
