Adapter 4C7167 - Caterpillar

1. Remove bolts (2), washers and nuts that hold the transmission output drive to the transmission. Remove tube assembly mounting bracket (1). 2. Fasten tooling (A) and a suitable hoist to the transmission output drive as shown. Install two evenly spaced 1/2 in - NC guide bolts (3) as shown. Install two 1/2 in - NC forcing screws (4) to separate the output drive group from the transmission. Remove the transmission output drive. The weight of the transmission output drive is approximately 60 kg (132 lb).Connect Transmission Output Drive to Transmission
1. Check the condition of dowel (2) and replace if damaged.2. Check the condition of O-ring seal (1). If the seal is worn or damaged, use a new part for replacement. Install O-ring seal (1) on the output housing and put clean transmission oil on it.3. Fasten tooling (A) and a suitable hoist to the transmission output drive as shown.4. Install two 1/2 in - NC guide bolts(3) evenly spaced in the transmission housing.5. Position the output drive on guide bolts (3) as shown.6. Position the tube mounting bracket on the transmission output drive. Install the bolts, washers and nuts that hold the transmission output drive to the transmission. Tighten the bolts to a
