Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the carrier bearing (drive shaft).

Remove bolts (2). Use two people to remove front drive shaft (1). The weight of front drive shaft (1) is approximately 36 kg (80 lb). Remove front drive shaft (1).Installation Procedure
Install front drive shaft (1) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten bolts (2) in an X pattern to a torque of 150 15 N m (111 11 lb ft). Retighten bolts (2) to a torque of 150 15 N m (111 11 lb ft).Note: Replace the run down bolts with the new drive line bolts.Note: If a new drive shaft is to be installed, do not remove the carrier bearing alignment block until the drive shaft is fully installed.
