Remove the existing protectors for the brakes from the machine.
You may be required to relocate one of the weld nuts on housing (A) in order to adapt the new protectors for the brakes so that the protectors fit on some of the old machines.

Use the new protector as a guide. Hold the new protector (1) against the existing housing (A) .
Make sure that the mounting holes on the new protector line up with the existing holes in the housing. If the holes do not line up, refer to illustration 2 in order to relocate one of the holes in housing (A) .

Housing (A) may require a new hole. Attach weld nut (2) .
Refer to illustration 1 to cut seal (3) and attach seal (3) on the protector. Perform this operation before the protector is attached to the machine.
Use hardware (4) to attach protector (1) to housing (A) .
Repeat the process for the other side of the machine.
