Separate the track over the idler.
When you are using hydraulic cylinders and puller studs, always ensure that the rated capacity of the puller stud meets or exceeds the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder. If the puller stud does not meet or exceed the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder, a sudden failure of the puller stud could occur. The sudden failure of the puller stud could result in personal injury or death.

Attach Tooling (A) and (B) and a suitable lifting device to idler assembly (1). The weight of idler assembly (1) is approximately 272 kg (600 lb). Remove bolts (2) and plate (3) .

Remove idler assembly (1) and place on to suitable cribbing.

Attach a suitable lifting device to yoke (4). The weight of yoke (4) is approximately 65 kg (143 lb).
Remove bolts (7) and cap (5). Remove yoke (4) from idler (6) .Installation Procedure
Install idler (6) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten bolts (7) of abutment side of cap (5) first. Tighten bolts (7) to a torque of 900 100 N m (664 74 lb ft).
Install plate (2) with the arrow facing up. Push plate (2) up until contact with the frame is made before tightening.
