Introduction
The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.Problem
Users have reported that upon installation of Tope software on a new G407 color display, or an Operating System (OS) upgrade on an existing G407, an error may appear stating that the "Window Configuration File" is absent. This issue affects Tope 4.x and later, installed on the G407 color display.Solution
Caterpillar is aware of this problem but a permanent repair has not been defined. As an interim action, dealers experiencing the issue can follow the below steps while directly connected to the onboard display:

Error Page
When the error page appears as shown in Illustration 1, press the "OK" button within 10 seconds. This will close Tope and present the honeycomb screen.
Using a third-party File Transfer Protocol (FTP) tool such as FileZilla, connect to the display using the previously set IP address.
Alternatively, connection can be achieved using a customer supplied USB cable and Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) to connect.
Using FTP or WMDC, copy the desired "topewincfg.txt" file to the Config directory.
While still connected, the "topeconfig.txt" file can be copied to the \Storage directory.If required, reinstall the Tope software using Cat® Electronic Technician (Cat ET) Service Tool and the Ethernet service cable connected to the service port on the display.Note: Ensure that all issues are logged with support through salesforce for tracking purposes.
