Stop the engine and loosen the fill cap on the hydraulic tank to release the pressure. Tighten the fill cap.

1. Plug.Remove plug (1) from the end of the pump and install the 5P2683 Stop where the plug was removed.
5P2683 STOP With the 5P2683 Stop installed, the pump is not a variable displacement pump and the speed of the engine (pump) is the only control for the output (gpm) of the pump. The stop prevents the pistons (in the pump) from going to a shorter stroke.
The 5P2683 Stop must be removed immediately after the test is made. If the stop is not removed, the maximum output (gpm) of the pump will cause damage to the hydraulic system.
