Make sure that a fire extinguisher is available. Be familiar with the operation of the fire extinguisher. Inspect the fire extinguisher and service the fire extinguisher regularly. Obey the recommendations on the instruction plate.The fire extinguisher needs to be at least a 4.5 kg (10 lb) fire extinguisher unless the machine has a permanent, built in extinguishing system. The mounting location must not damage any safety features. The mounting location must not obstruct the operator compartment, or the operator from accessing or exiting the cab.The fire extinguisher may be mounted to the handhold on the left platform near the cab. Also, the fire extinguisher may be mounted to the handhold on the right platform at the front of the platform near the access ladder. The fire extinguisher should be mounted so that the path of the operator is not blocked.Do not weld a bracket on the Rollover Protective Structure (ROPS) in order to install the fire extinguisher. Also, do not drill holes in the ROPS in order to mount the fire extinguisher on the ROPS.
