Disconnect batteries before disconnecting any wires at the alternator.
Identify all wires to be removed or disconnected as to their proper location. This identification will be helpful at the time of installation.1. Remove bolt (1) and remove drive belt.2. Remove bolt (2), nut (3) and electrical plug (4).3. Remove nut (5) and mounting bolt, then remove alternator. For Disassembly And Assembly information, refer to module SENB8373, Delco Remy/10-SI / CS-121 Series Alternators. The following steps are for the installation of the alternator.4. Position the alternator and install mounting bolt and nut (5).5. Connect electrical plug (4), position wires to their original position and install nut (3) and bolt (2).6. Position drive belt, install bolt (1). Adjust drive belt and tighten bolt (1).
