(20)Engine Crankcase
1. Run engine long enough to warm oil. Park on level ground. Stop engine. Open drain valve and drain oil. 2. Remove old filter.3. Clean filter base. Make sure all of old gasket is removed. 4. Apply thin film of clean oil to gasket of new filter.5. Install filter, tighten until gasket contacts base. Tighten filter an additional 3/4 turn. Do not overtighten.6. Close drain valve. 7. Remove breather. Wash breather in clean solvent.8. Inspect seal, install new seal if necessary. Install breather. Tighten bolt.9. Fill crankcase. See REFILL CAPACITIES.10. Start engine and run at low idle to fill filter housing. Check oil level. Add oil if necessary.11. Check for leaks.(21)Fan Pulley Bearings
Lubricate 1 fitting.(22)Transmission, Bevel Gear And Steering Clutch Compartment
Change Filter and Wash Magnetic Strainer.
1. Remove seat. Remove filter drain plug. 2. Remove cover and filter elements. 3. Install new seal if necessary. 4. Install new element. Install cover and drain plug. 5. Remove cover and spring from strainer in the engine compartment. 6. Remove screen and magnets. Wash screen in clean solvent. Clean magnets with a stiff bristle brush or clean cloth. Do not drop or rap magnets. 7. Install a new seal if necessary. Install magnets, screen, spring and cover. 8. Check oil level. Oil level should be at FULL mark on gauge. 9. Add oil if necessary.(23)Fan And Alternator Belts
Check condition of belts. Always install a matched set of belts when any belt requires replacement. 1. Correct adjustment allows approximately 1 1/8 inch (29 mm) deflection at this point.To Adjust:
2. To adjust: Loosen locknut and turn adjusting nut to obtain the correct adjustment.3. Tighten locknut and recheck adjustment.(24)Steering Clutch Brakes
Check adjustment. Adjust brakes when pedal travel reaches 6 to 61/4 inches (15 cm to 16 cm). To Adjust:1. Remove guard and cover. 2. Turn adjusting socket in until tight. Back socket out 11/2 turns (9 clicks).
