Remove knob (5). Reposition handle (6). Disconnect harness assembly (8) and remove handle (6). Reposition cover (7).

Remove bolts (10) and reposition clockspring (9).

Remove key (12). Remove bolts (13). Remove speed and direction control (11).

Remove screws (18), bolts (17), housing (16), and gasket (15). Remove washer (14). Note: Handle sensor assembly (20) carefully with out damage to the harness assembly.
Remove sensor assembly (20) from housing (19).

Remove spacer (21), retaining ring (22), and spring (23) from cam assembly (25).
Remove retaining ring (28) and sensor (27) from cam assembly (25).
Remove O-ring seals (26) from cam assembly (25).

Use Tooling (A) in order to remove bearing (30). Remove lip seal (29) and bearing (30).

Remove spring pin (32) from cam assembly (25).

Remove spring pin (33) from housing (19). Installation Procedure
Install speed and direction control (11) in the reverse order of removal.

Install spring pin (33) to Dimension (Y). Dimension (Y) is 27.0 0.5 mm (1.06 0.02 inch).

Install spring pin (32) to Dimension (X). Dimension (X) is 28.1 0.5 mm (1.11 0.02 inch).
Tighten screws (18) to a torque of 2 N m (17 lb in).
Apply Tooling (B) to the threads of bolts (17). Tighten bolts (17) to a torque of 6 1 N m (55 9 lb in).
Tighten bolts (13) to a torque of 6 1 N m (55 9 lb in).
Tighten bolts (10) to a torque of 2 N m (17 lb in).
