A new seal is now used in the track adjuster cylinders on Track-Type Tractors. The new seal performs the same function as the previous seal. During installation, the new seal should be seated against the side of the seal groove. Refer to Illustration 1 for the correct orientation of the seal.Adaptable To: The new 167-2323 U-Cup Seal is a direct replacement to the former 6V-8142 U-Cup Seal. The seal will not entirely fill the seal groove. No modifications to the seal or to the seal groove are needed. The new seal is adaptable to all of the Track-Type Tractors that are listed above.
