Bolt Tightening Sequence In Service Manual Module, SENR2608-01, steps 8 and 9 on page 25 are incorrect. The steps listed should read as follows:
8. Install an amount of shims (4) the same thickness as the average of the distance found in Step 7 plus .1 mm (.004 in).9. Install ring (3) and all of bolts (2). Tighten bolts (2) evenly to a torque of 125 20 N m (91 15 lb ft). In Service Manual Module, SENR5726-01, steps 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 11, 12 and "Illustration A" under the heading "Adjustment Procedure (On Machine)" on page 25 are incorrect. The steps listed should read as follows:
4. Use five bolts (3), as shown, to install retainer (4) without shims to spindle housing (6).5. Tighten bolts (3) in sequence to 90 14 N m (65 7 lb ft).6. Rotate the wheel assembly one revolution. Tighten bolts (2) again to 90 14 N m (65 7 lb ft).8. Tighten bolts (3) again in sequence to 40 7 N m (30 5 lb ft).9. Rotate the wheel assembly one revolution. Tighten bolts (3) again to 40 7 N m (30 5 lb ft).11. Subtract retainer (4) thickness from Step 1 from the value found in Step 10. The difference is the clearance between the end of spindle housing (6) and retainer (4). Add 0.1 mm (.004 in) to this gap. The total is equal to the shim pack thickness required.12. Using an outside micrometer, measure the shim pack. The shim pack must be with 0.025 mm (.001 in) of the shim pack thickness required found in step 11."Illustration A" on page 25 should be changed to reflect the following:

b. Install retainer plate (2) without shims. Install five bolts (1) spaced equally.c. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 90 14 N m (66 10 lb ft) using the following tightening sequence, see illustration 1.
Illustration 1. Correct Bolt Tightening Sequencef. Retorque bolts to 40 7 N m (30 5 lb ft) using the same tightening sequence as step c.h. Using tooling (B), measure through the three small holes in the retainer plate. Take one reading at each hole and average them. Subtract the average plate thickness from this measurement. The difference is the gap between the end of the spindle and the retainer plate. Add 0.1mm (0.004 in) to this gap. The total is equal to the shim pack thickness required.
