START BY:a. connection of steering frame lock link
Make sure machine is on a hard, level surface. Block the rear tires.
1. Disconnect brake line (1). Make sure the bearing caps do not fall off of the spiders when the drive shaft is disconnected. The needle bearings in the caps can be lost.2. Remove bolts (2) and straps (3). Slide yoke assembly (4) into the differential to disconnect the drive shaft. Use tape to keep the caps from falling off the drive shaft. 3. Remove guards (5) from the brake line. 4. Extend the lift cylinders, and install tool (A) as shown. 5. Put a suitable floor jack under the differential to prevent the axle housing from rotating during removal.6. Remove eight bolts (6). Raise the front of the machine until there is enough clearance to roll the front axle from under the machine. Install tooling (B), and roll the front axle from under the machine.Install Axle Housing (Front)
1. Put a suitable floor jack under the differential to prevent the axle housing from rotating. Put the axle housing in position under the machine. Remove tooling (A), and lower the machine onto the axle housing. Install the eight bolts that hold the axle housing to the frame. 2. Install guards (1). 3. Put the front drive shaft in position in yoke (2). Install straps (3) and bolts (4). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 60 7 N m (44 5 lb.ft.).4. Connect brake line (5).5. Bleed the brake system.
