Removal Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

If necessary, remove the assembly of dipstick tube. Loosen nut (5) and remove tube assembly (4). Remove seal (6) from the tube assembly. Note: Identify the position and orientation of the tube assembly.
Place a suitable container below the engine oil pan . Remove drain plug (2) and drain the engine oil. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil and Filter - Change" for the correct procedure.
Remove O-ring seal (3) from drain plug (2).
Disconnect the Original Equipment Manufactures (OEM) wiring harness assembly from wiring harness assembly (1) for the oil level switch.

Support the assembly of engine oil pan (9).
Remove bolts (10) and bolts (11) from the assembly of engine oil pan (9).
Remove the assembly of engine oil pan (9) from the engine.
Remove gasket (8).

If necessary, follow Step 9.a through Step 9.c to remove oil level switch (12) from engine oil pan (9).
Cut cable strap (14) from the harness assembly for oil level switch (12).
Remove oil level switch (12) from engine oil pan (9).
Remove O-ring seal (12) from oil level switch (12).
