Drift Check for the Lift Linkage
Excessive cylinder drift rates can significantly degrade machine performance. Valve solenoid calibrations may compensate for cylinder drift to some degree. However, there are practical limits beyond which valve solenoid calibration will not be possible. Repair of worn or failed hydraulic system components will be necessary. Hydraulic cylinder drift check modes provide a convenient method for accurately measuring cylinder drift rate as an aid in determining when repair is necessary.Two cylinder drift check modes are provided, one for lift and one for tilt. In these modes, cylinder drift is determined by evaluating the change in calculated cylinder length over a specified time interval (after an initial delay to let machine motion settle out).
