2-1 Electric Diagram
2-2 Function
(1) General Electric circuits for this model are DC24V minus grounding, consisting of power circuit, starting/stopping circuits, charging circuit and low-current circuits. (2) Functions 1. Power circuit Consists of battery (17), disconnect switch (18) and main fuse (55) and supplies power to the electric system.* If a machine is left out of service sometime, disconnect switch (18) must be OFF to prevent battery discharging.2. Starting/Stopping circuits Consists of starting motor (1), magnetic switch (2), starting switch (9) and shut-off solenoid (4). Operating the switch starts or stop the engine. In addition, a starting aid, if equipped, will ease the engine start in cold weather by injecting starting fluid (ether) into the air inlet.3. Charging circuit As the engine starts, alternator (3) in charging circuit charges battery (17) to feed current to low-current circuits through fuse box (19).4. Low-current circuits 1) Light circuit Turns on head light (41) and boom light (41).2) Windshield wiper and washer circuit Wipes off dirts on cab front windshield.3) Horn circuit Sounds the horn electrically.4) Cigar lighter circuit When the knob of the cigar lighter is pushed in, this circuit electrically heats coil to activate the lighter.5) Cab heater circuit Drives the heating fan of the cab heater.6) Room lamp circuit Turns on room lamp in the cab.7) Monitoring panel circuit Monitors and indicates machine conditions with various sensors. See "MONITORING SYSTEM" for details.8) Electronic power unit control circuit Controls power modes and AEC system. See "ELECTRONIC POWER UNIT CONTROL" for details.9) Choice system circuit Depending on a type of work, choose a required mode from the three operation modes.* Loading mode* Trenching mode* Inching mode10) Travel speed change circuit Changes travel speed to High or Low.11) Radio circuit (If equipped) Receives FM/AM frequency for broacasting.12) Swing parking brake circuit (If equipped) Automatically operates parking brake after an elaspe of 4 seconds when swing or implement lever is treturned to neutral.13) Travel alarm circuit (If equipped) Sounds an alarm whenever the machine is traveling forward or backward.14) Breaker circuit (If equipped) Controls breaker operating speed.2-3 Operation
(1) Power circuit (2) Starting circuit (3) Ether starting circuit (if equipped) (4) Stopping circuit (5) Charging circuit (6) Low-current circuits 1. Light circuit 2. Windshield wiper and washer circuits 3. Horn circuit 4. Cigar lighter 5. Cab heater circuit 6. Room light circuit 7. Monitoring circuit 8. Electronic power unit control circuit Refer to the module, "ELECTRONIC POWER UNIT CONTROL".9. Work mode choice system circuit 10. Travel speed change circuit 11. Radio circuit (if equipped) 12. Swing parking brake circuit (if equipped) 13. Travel alarm circuit (if equipped)
