Information:


Do not drain the oil from the hydraulic oil tank until the temperature of the oil is cool. If the temperature of the oil is hot, use caution when the oil is drained. Open the cap slowly on the hydraulic tank to release all the pressure in the tank.
1. Open plug (1) on the side of the tank to drain the oil. The capacity of the hydraulic oil tank is 11 U.S. gal. (41.6 liter). 2. Disconnect rod assembly (2) from the lever on the hydraulic tank.3. On machines that have a ripper, disconnect oil line (3) and the hose connected to tube (4). 4. Remove the four bolts that hold the air cleaner in place. Remove air cleaner (5). 5. Disconnect hose assembly (6) from the hydraulic oil tank.6. Loosen the clamp on the bottom of elbow (7). Move the hose off of the elbow. Remove elbow (7) from the hydraulic tank. 7. Remove two bolts (8) that hold the bracket for the hydraulic tube assemblies in position. 8. Remove bolt (9). 9. Fasten a hoist to the brackets on the hydraulic tank as shown. 10. Remove two bolts (10) and nuts from each side of the hydraulic tank.
Typical Example11. Disconnect glow plug wire harness (11) on earlier models only.12. Remove hydraulic tank (12) from the machine. The weight of the tank is 330 lb. (150 kg).Install Hydraulic Oil Tank
Typical Example1. Fasten a hoist to hydraulic oil tank (1) and put it in position on the machine. Install the four bolts and nuts that hold it. 2. Install bolt (3). Connect wire harness (2) for the glow plugs (on earlier models only). 3. Connect bracket (4) to the bracket on the engine with two bolts and nuts. 4. Install elbow (5). Slide hose (7) on the elbow and tighten two clamps (6) that hold it. 5. Connect hose assembly (8) to the hydraulic oil tank. 6. Put air cleaner assembly (9) in position on the engine. Install the four bolts that hold it. 7. Connect rod assembly (10) to the lever on the back of the hydraulic oil tank.8. On machines that have a ripper, connect oil line (11) and the hose and clamps to tube (12).9. Fill the hydraulic oil tank with oil to the correct level.
