Personal injury can result from hydraulic oil pressure and hot oil.Hydraulic oil pressure can remain in the hydraulic system after the engine has been stopped. Serious injury can be caused if this pressure is not released before any service is done on the hydraulic system.Make sure all of the attachments have been lowered, oil is cool before removing any components or lines. Remove the oil filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.
Personal injury can result from hot oil spray and raised attachments.Make sure all attachments have been lowered, oil is cool and the pressure has been released from the hydraulic system before removing any components or lines.Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin.
Do not check for leaks with your hands. Pin hole (very small) leaks can result in a high velocity oil stream that will be invisible close to the hose. This oil can penetrate the skin and cause personal injury. Use cardboard or paper to locate pin hole leaks.

Verify that the high idle is set to the correct specification. If the high idle is not set to the correct specification, refer to Engine Specifications, SENR5022 and Engine Systems Operation and Testing and Adjusting, SENR5023 for the proper adjustment procedure.

Remove the three bolts from the bolt locations (1). Remove the cover to the main control valve.
Install one 6V-4143 Coupler Assembly to each end of the 6V-3014 Hose .
Install one 8T-0855 Pressure Gauge to one end of the 6V-3014 Hose .

Attach the other end of the 6V-3014 Hose to the pilot pressure tap (2) .
Start the engine. Increase the engine speed to high idle.
Lower the console and operate the controls to all positions. Raise the hydraulic oil temperature to the normal operating range of 50°C (122°F) to 60°C (140°F) prior to performing the pressure tests.
Observe the pressure after the hydraulic oil has been sufficiently warmed.
The pressure should be 3100 300 kPa (450 44 psi). The pressure reducing valve in the pilot oil manifold is not adjustable. If the pilot pressure is not within the correct specifications, replace the pilot oil manifold. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, RENR2848, "Pilot and Travel Speed Manifold - Remove and Install".
