Introduction
An excessive "Bucket Gap" or uneven bucket edge wear may result from variations in the assembly of the torsion axles. If the starting angles of the forged broaches (bellcranks) on the torsion axles are not identical, the machine will not sit level on a flat plane.This Special Instruction provides the procedures that are needed to check for variations of the torsion axles.Procedure 1
This procedure consists of taking measurements and comparing the measurements in order to determine if variations exist between the ends of the front axle and between the ends of the rear axle.
Park the machine.
Raise the lift arms.
Check for variations of the front axle by performing Step 3.a and Step 3.b.

Measure distance (X) from the bottom of the front axle's mounting plate to ground on the left side and on the right of the machine. See Illustration 1. Note: To ensure accuracy, take measurements at the same location on the front axle's mounting plate on each side of the machine.
Compare the left side measurement and the right side measurement for the front axle.
