The universal joint and torque divider outlet relief valve is removed for better photo illustration of the lubrication relief valve.2. Drain the oil from the transmission.3. Disconnect and plug hose assembly (2).4. Remove four bolts (3), the washers and lubrication relief valve (1).5. Remove the two sleeves from the transmission. Remove the O-ring seals from the sleeves. The following steps are for the installation of the lubrication relief valve.6. Install new seals on the two sleeves. Put clean oil on the seals. Install the sleeves in the transmission.7. Install lubrication relief valve (1) with bolts (3).8. Connect oil hose assembly (2).9. Install the floor plate.10. Fill the transmission with oil to the correct level. See Operation And Maintenance Manual.
Perform Scheduled Oil Sampling on oil wetted compartments after performing service work to check for contaminants left in the system following repair. Contaminants put into the system may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Start By:a. remove lubrication relief valve
Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants put into the system may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
1. Remove cover (3).2. Remove seal (4), spring (2) and valve spool (1). Make sure all of the parts of the lubrication relief valve are clean and free of dirt and foreign material.
