Components For The Transmission Hydraulic Control    
(1) Transmission switch     This component tells the scraper transmission hydraulic control the speed that is engaged.    
(2) Downshift solenoid and (3) Upshift solenoid     These components control the movement of the selector valve spools.    
(4) Pressure control valve     This component controls pressure to the torque converter and the transmission clutches. The valve will not allow the machine to start unless the machine is in NEUTRAL.    
(5) Selector valve     The spools inside this valve are connected to the spool inside the shift cylinder. The selector valve directs oil to the clutches.    
(6) Priority valve     This valve makes sure that oil is being sent to the synchronizing valve, the downshift solenoid, and the upshift solenoid before directing pressure oil to the selector valve.    
(7) Lockup clutch and synchronizing valve     The lockup clutch sends oil in order to engage the torque converter. The synchronizing valve keeps the scraper transmission in the correct speed in relation to the tractor transmission.    Two different systems control the operation of the scraper transmission. An electrical system activates the transmission hydraulic control. The scraper transmission control system is not activated until the tractor transmission control system has completed a shift. Once the tractor transmission control system has completed the shift, the scraper transmission control system may follow with a shift so that the tractor transmission and the scraper transmission are synchronized.For more information about the scraper transmission control system, refer to Systems Operation, RENR1552, "Transmission Electronic Control System" and Systems Operation, RENR1552, "Transmission Hydraulic Control Operation".
