Engine Start Switch
OFF (1) - Insert and remove the engine start switch key from the OFF position only. Turn the engine start switch key to the OFF position before trying to restart the engine. Turn the engine start switch key to the OFF position to stop the engine. ON (2) - Turn the engine start switch key to the ON position to activate all circuits. The key returns to the ON position when released from the START position. START (3) - Turn the engine start switch key to the START position to crank the engine. Release the key as soon as the engine starts. If the engine does not start, return the key to OFF before returning it to START.For details, refer to Engine Starting in the Operation Section of this manual.Starting Aid (If Equipped)
1. Turn engine start key (1) to the ON position. 2. Push switch (2) forward to the PREHEAT position to activate the induction manifold heater with the engine start switch key in the ON position.3. Turn engine start key (1) to the START position to crank the engine while applying heat. Heat will only be applied while the engine is cranking or running.4. Release engine start key switch (1) when the engine starts. Release switch (2) when the engine runs smooth. Reduce engine speed to low idle to continue warm up.Electrical System Indicator
Alternator (1) - This indicates a malfunction in the electrical charging system. If the indicator does not go off shortly after the engine is started or if the indicator comes on while the engine is running, the machine can be operated until repairs can be made. However, if the electrical accessories are used, the batteries will discharge rapidly.Parking Brake Indicator
Parking Brake (2) - This indicates the parking brake is applied. It will remain on if the parking brake knob is pulled up when the propel control lever is not in the STOP position. The propel control lever must be in the STOP position before the parking brake can be released and the machine is allowed to propel.Temperature/Pressure Indicators
If the charge pressure indicator (1), engine coolant temperature indicator (2), hydraulic oil temperature indicator (3) or engine oil pressure (4) are activated, the horn will sound to alert the operator to take corrective action.
Charge Pressure (1) - Indicates clogging or restriction of flow to the hydraulic oil filter. If the indicator comes on, pull to a convenient stop and change the hydraulic oil filter. Do not operate the machine until the hydraulic oil filter has been changed. If the bypass indicator is not on, investigate for other causes. Engine Coolant Temperature (2) - This indicates overheating of the engine coolant or a system malfunction. Reduce machine operating speed and keep the engine at low idle until the engine is cooled down. If the indicator stays on several minutes after running the engine at low idle, stop the engine. Check the coolant level. Check the fan drive belts for the water pump and
