Remove the filler cap from the hydraulic tank.

Install vacuum cap (3) onto hydraulic tank (4) .
Connect hose (2) to vacuum cap (3). Route the other end of the hose into a suitable container in order to collect any oil that may drain from the hose.
Connect air hose (1) to vacuum cap (3) .

Remove plug (5) from cover (6) .

Install fitting assembly (7) onto cover (6) .
Disconnect the air hose and remove the vacuum cap.
Install the filler cap.
Connect one end of a hose assembly onto fitting (7) .
Install a gauge assembly onto the other end of the hose assembly.

Open the access door on the right side of the machine.

Connect the other hose assembly onto pressure tap "4".
Connect the other gauge assembly to the other end of the hose assembly.
Enter the machine.
Fasten your seat belt.
Start the engine and run the engine at LOW IDLE.
Move the winch control to the FREE SPOOL position.
Record the following values onto the worksheet: charge pressure for the front pump at pressure tap "4" and freespool clutch oil pressure Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Worksheet - Troubleshoot".
The charge pressure for the front pump at pressure tap "4" should be 2200 225 kPa (320 30 psi).
The freespool clutch oil pressure should be the same value as the pressure at pressure tap "4".
Increase the engine speed to HIGH IDLE.
Record the following values onto the worksheet: charge pressure for the front pump at pressure tap "4" and freespool clutch oil pressure
The charge pressure for the front pump at pressure tap "4" should be 2500 150 kPa (360 20 psi).
The freespool clutch oil pressure should be the same value as the pressure at pressure tap "4".
Move the winch control to the HOLD position.
Decrease engine speed to LOW IDLE.
Stop the engine.If the charge pressure is not within specifications, adjust the charge relief valve for the front piston pump and perform the test again. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, RENR5539, "Charge Relief Valve - Adjust".If the charge pressure is within specifications but the freespool clutch oil pressure is lower than the charge pressure, there may be a leak within the freespool clutch oil circuit. Determine the cause of the low oil pressure and perform any necessary repairs. Then, perform the test again.
Remove the filler cap from the hydraulic tank.
Install the vacuum cap onto the hydraulic tank and connect the air hose to the vacuum cap.
Remove the fitting assembly and install the plug.
Disconnect the air hose from the vacuum cap.
