Before performing the following procedure, consult and practice all local environmental regulations concerning the use and disposal of freon.
Inhaling freon gas through a lit cigarette or other smoking method, or inhaling fumes released from a flame contacting freon, could cause bodily harm or death. Do NOT smoke when servicing air conditioners or wherever freon gas may be present.
Procedure To Install New 9U4716 And 9U4717 Tube Assemblies
1. Park the machine on a level surface, engage the parking brake, and discharge the air conditioning system of freon.2. Remove the former fabricated hose assembly and install a new 9U4716 Tube Assembly (1). Connect the lower end of the new tube assembly to the compressor port as shown in Illustration 2.3. Remove the former fabricated hose assembly and install a new 9U4717 Tube Assembly (2). Secure the new tube assemblies in place with two 3S8665 Clips (4).
