Remove the dust cover from test port (1) .
Install the 0 to 28000 kPa (0 to 4000 psi) pressure gauge and hose to test port (1) .

Chain the elevator to the eye that is welded to the cross brace in order to prevent the elevator from moving.

Remove dust cover (2) and install test equipment (A) .
Start the engine after the test equipment has been installed.
Run the engine at high idle rpm.
Slowly move the elevator control lever to the Second Speed Forward. Do not hold the lever in this position for more than 5 seconds. The high reading on the gauge is the pressure setting for the elevator relief valve. The correct pressure setting for the relief valve is 16875 kPa (2450 psi) to 18500 kPa (2680 psi). If the pressure reading is not correct, the relief valve must be adjusted.Note: If necessary, increase the engine rpm, in order to make this pressure test.

Loosen locknut (3) .
Adjust screw (4) clockwise in order to increase pressure.
Adjust screw (4) counterclockwise in order to decrease pressure.
When the adjustment is completed, tighten locknut (1) to 18.0 2.0 N m (160 18 lb in).
Remove the chain and the test equipment.
